Interbreeding Protocol

The following is the current protocol for interbreeding Miniature Bull Terriers with Bull Terriers. Although the original interbreeding rounds were approved mainly to reduce the incidence of PLL in the MBT when we did not have a DNA test, it is still relevant today to maintain a healthy enlarged gene pool using health tested Bull Terriers and Miniature Bull Terriers which will hopefully allow us to avoid future health problems which can be caused by a small gene pool and genetic “bottle necks”.
